Maintaining your pergola
To ensure optimal conditions of use throughout the year and preserve its aesthetic appearance, it is recommended that you clean your bioclimatic pergola twice a year. Even more regularly if it is exposed to sea air. It is essential to avoid using very aggressive products, such as detergents and solvents. Also avoid using high-pressure cleaners or steam cleaners, which may damage the powder coating. Avoid cleaning surfaces that are heated by the sun's rays.
FOR THE STRUCTURE OF THE ADJUSTABLE BLADES
It is best to use a non-abrasive sponge, mild detergent (pH between 5 and 8), and clean water. Wipe with a soft microfiber cloth to avoid streaks when drying.
Be careful not to spray the product directly onto the LED spots in the slats.
FOR SLIDING WALLS
Regularly check thatno objects are obstructing the sliding panels at the floor rail. To clean, use a broom or blower to remove leaves and finer particles such as dust and/or sand. The windows can be cleaned with a mixture of white vinegar and water (30% white vinegar / 70% water) and a microfiber cloth.
FOR BLINDS
It is essential to handle the fabrics with care, preferably with clean, dry hands. As with cleaning the frame and slats, you can use a neutral detergent (pH between 5 and 8) such as dishwashing liquid, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. No other products should be used as they may damage the fabric. Never rub vigorously. You can dust the fabrics using a vacuum cleaner fitted with a soft brush that will not scratch the fabric, or with a compressed air blower. Be careful not to crease or distort the fabric. Once cleaned, allow the fabrics to dry completely before raising your blinds. If your blinds were rolled up while still damp, it is strongly recommended that you unroll them as soon as possible to allow them to dry completely and prevent mold stains from forming, which can affect their appearance. It is advisable to add a little grease to the blind tracks in the spring and fall to ensure they roll out smoothly.
The wind sensor is designed to provide additional protection for your blinds. However, it cannot replace the user in ensuring their integrity in the event of sudden or extreme weather conditions.
To avoid damage, we recommend raising your blinds using your remote control before the wind gusts arrive.
TO AVOID ANY ISSUES WHEN OPERATING YOUR BIOCLIMATIC PERGOLA, IT IS IMPORTANT TO REGULARLY CHECK THAT:
– No objects or items should obstruct the motor linkage, as this could block the movement of the bioclimatic slats and damage the motor.
– No objects or debris should obstruct the gutters, as this could block the rainwater drainage system and cause water to overflow abnormally into the pergola. Check the gutters more frequently if there are trees nearby, especially in autumn.
– Make sure there are no objects or debris obstructing the descent of your blinds, as this could cause them to veer off course and tear the fabric zips.
– Remember to clean and lubricate the motor blade actuator rod with PTFE grease to ensure it remains watertight and operates smoothly.
